I usually poo-poo the lack of LODs, but I understand that as Demon is making these models with a concern to portfolio pieces, it's understood. The mesh geometry itself is nice, well ordered, and with a goodly amount of detail. This is really an issue outside the scope of this review I suppose the real hardcore types will cry bloody murder for changing the designs, but the model's carried off well enough that it's not really an issue. ![]() As with Demon's Imp model, fidelity to the original design is there, but with a bit of a style thrown in for good measure on Demon's part. The mesh itself is an interesting bit of work. Imp was a thorn in his side, but now he's got another old friend to contend with-the Arachnatron!" You ever notice that the Doom marine's taunt is "ARRRrrrggh" ? Well, that's because he knew that at some point those nasty beasties from Doom would eventually catch up with him. "And we here we see the second Doom monster recreation by that 'ard hitting duo, Demon (model and animation duties) and Dark Horizon (skinning). ![]()
